CS2 crosshair basics for a readable competitive setup
How to choose a simple crosshair and keep it consistent while learning.
Stable starting point
- Choose colour and outline for your main maps.
- Test static settings before movement feedback.
- Save the config after a week of use.
Build for information, not decoration
A CS2 crosshair needs to remain visible over map colours, stop obscuring the head you are holding and give enough centre information to place the first bullet. Start with a simple static profile, then adjust size, gap, thickness, outline and colour one at a time. A copied pro crosshair may be unreadable on your monitor.
Movement feedback and visibility
Dynamic feedback can make movement or recoil easier to understand while learning, but it adds motion during a duel. Keep it when it answers a training question and remove it when it distracts. Check the result on bright and dark areas, with smoke effects and at the resolution you actually play.
Import safely
Use the in-game crosshair import or configuration tools and verify the values after importing. A crosshair code does not improve aim by itself, and no executable, config pack or “cheat crosshair” is required. If a profile disappears after an update, record the code and version before rebuilding it.
