Genshin Impact quest stuck: checks before assuming a bug
A checklist for prerequisites, time gates, co-op restrictions and quest markers.
Diagnostic order
- Read the full quest objective, not only the marker.
- Leave co-op and wait for any time-gated step.
- Contact official support with quest name and UID only through safe channels.
Read the whole objective
A marker can point to an area while the real requirement is a dialogue, an item, an Adventure Rank, a time-of-day change or another quest occupying the NPC. Open the quest log and read the text below the marker. If the task mentions a specific object or interaction, search the area again after completing the prerequisite rather than repeatedly teleporting.
Remove common blockers
Leave co-op, switch the in-game time only when the quest allows it, finish an overlapping quest and check whether the party is in combat or a domain. Do not abandon a quest unless the game makes the consequence clear. If an event quest is involved, record the version and event dates because the objective may no longer be active.
Escalate with safe details
If the objective is reproducibly blocked after prerequisites, capture the quest name, server, version, platform and exact step. Contact HoYoverse through its official support path. A UID may be requested, but never send a password, verification code or account cookie; screenshots should hide personal information.
