VALORANT competitive settings: sensitivity, FPS and clarity

A repeatable way to choose settings without copying a pro player’s setup blindly.

Stable starting point

  1. Stabilize FPS and input latency first.
  2. Choose one sensitivity and test it for several sessions.
  3. Adjust crosshair clarity to the maps and agents you play.

Choose a reproducible baseline

Competitive settings should make targets readable and input consistent. Start with a stable frame rate, a display mode your PC can hold, low visual distractions and a mouse sensitivity you can reproduce. Pro settings are useful references, not evidence that one DPI, resolution or crosshair is objectively best.

Performance before preference

On PC, close unnecessary overlays, keep the graphics driver current and test frame-time stability in a real match or practice range. Lower effects that hide enemies or create distraction before lowering resolution so far that edges become unclear. On console, use the supported performance and display settings rather than copying a PC guide.

Sensitivity and agents

Keep one sensitivity for several sessions and adjust only after identifying a repeatable problem: overshooting, inability to clear a turn or fatigue. A crosshair that works on a bright map may disappear on another, so keep a small profile set and check it with the agents and maps you actually play. Separate personal comfort from a claim about advantage.
