Warzone loadout basics: build around role and range
A practical framework for choosing a primary, secondary and attachments without copying an outdated meta list.
Stable starting point
- Choose a close-range or long-range job for each weapon.
- Prioritize recoil, mobility and optic clarity.
- Recheck the setup after balance updates.
Build around a job
A Warzone loadout should answer one question: what range and situation is it for? Pair a weapon for the first engagement with one that covers its weakness, then choose attachments that support recoil control, mobility or range instead of copying a screenshot without context. The right build changes with the current weapon pool, mode and patch.
Attachment trade-offs
Every attachment can trade sprint-to-fire, aim-down-sight speed, recoil, damage range, magazine size or visibility. Test the complete build in the firing range or a low-stakes match and watch whether the gun still handles the fights you actually take. A slower build can be useful for holding a lane; a faster build can be better for rotations and close rooms.
Keep the patch context visible
Mark the date, mode and source whenever you call a weapon meta. Activision’s known-issues and patch pages can change what is usable or reliable. If a weapon or attachment is disabled, bugged or recently changed, say so rather than presenting an old loadout as permanent advice.
