Pokémon GO raid counters: build a useful team
How to choose counters by boss, moveset, weather and roster rather than one static list.
Build a repeatable plan
- Check the boss and its current moves.
- Choose counters you can actually build.
- Adjust for weather and party size.
Start with the current boss
Open the current Pokémon GO raid listing and record the boss, tier, typing, moveset and event window. A counter list made for another moveset or rotation can give the wrong result. Weather, party size and whether the raid is local or remote also change the useful team, so do not present one static six-Pokémon answer as universal.
Choose counters you can build
Filter recommendations by type effectiveness, surviving time and your actual powered-up roster. A slightly weaker counter that is already high level can be more useful than a theoretical perfect option with no resources. Include Mega or Shadow requirements only when they are relevant and clearly label the cost and availability.
Adapt during the raid window
Recheck the boss page after an event change, weather shift or move update. For small groups, prioritize survival and relobby timing; for a large group, damage thresholds may matter more. Use the official event and support pages for the current rotation instead of recycling a dated counter chart.
